What Is a Non-Surgical (PDO) Thread Lift?
A Thread Lift is a minimally invasive treatment that uses dissolvable sutures (or threads) made from Polydioxanone (PDO) to restore collagen and visibly lift the skin. Unlike a traditional, surgical facelift, a PDO Thread Lift does not involve incisions. It is a quick and effective lunchtime procedure with little to no downtime.
At the beginning of a PDO Thread Lift treatment, we apply local anesthesia to numb the area being treated. Then, barbed threads are inserted into the skin via a cannula. They are one-way threads, which means that they can easily pass through the skin, but cannot be taken back out the opposite way. Once inserted, the threads anchor the skin and when pulled back gently, lift it upwards resulting in a refreshed, youthful look.
In addition to lifting the skin, PDO threads provoke our body’s natural healing response and infuse the skin with fresh collagen, which further improves texture and firmness.
Full Face Lift
This facial rejuvenation treatment lifts and firms your facial tissue, providing noticeable results immediately. Even better, as collagen builds over time, your results will continue to improve after the treatment.
Neck and Jawline Lift
During a PDO neck lift procedure, a combination of barbed and smooth threads are strategically placed to lift, smooth, and tighten sagging skin around the neck and jawline.
Brow Lift (Fox Eye)
The PDO brow lift, also known as fox eye lift creates a subtle lift on the brows and elevates the outer corners of the eyes. By gently tilting the eye's horizontal axis, we can create a more cat-like eye shape and make you look naturally rejuvenated.
Collagen & Skin Texture
By gently inserting smooth threads just under the skin, we initiate your body's natural healing response, creating new collagen, smoothing the skin, and naturally reducing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and scars.

PDO Thread Lift FAQs
Is the PDO Thread Lift safe?
Yes! PDO Thread Lifts are a low-risk, FDA-approved treatment with virtually no side effects. You may experience redness, swelling, and mild sensitivity to touch; however, those side effects typically disappear within a few days.
Is the PDO Thread Lift painful?
Local anesthesia is applied prior to the treatment to minimize pain and discomfort. Most patients report feeling little to no pain during as well as after the thread lift procedure.
Am I a good candidate for a PDO Thread Lift?
If you're looking for a subtle, natural-looking lift and want to tighten sagging skin tissue around the face and neck, the PDO Thread Lift is the right treatment for you. Generally, patients in their mid-40s and above who have mild to moderate sagginess, wrinkles, and lines in the forehead, face, or neck are typically good candidates.
Can PDO threads be used on any area of the body?
How long does it take to see results?
While noticeable improvements can be seen immediately after the treatment, it can take up to 90 days to see the full results. The threads will dissolve approximately six months after the treatment, but the lifting effect will continue to last for up to two years.
